Legoland is a theme park based on the Danish coloured brick phenomenon. It is designed for kids between 3 and 12 years old - though can be enjoyed by all ages - and has many rides designed for younger children. There are almost 55 million LEGO bricks at the park and the professionally-built LEGO models on display are an amazing attraction for both adults and kids.
Some of the most famous scenes from around the world have been re-created in Miniland. Kids can take control of a remote-controlled boat with realistic sound effects and navigate it around the water.
There is even a LEGO submarine ride which gives visitors a magical underwater adventure. The ride cost millions of pounds to construct and contains over 100 hand-built LEGO models. The ride takes you on a journey under the sea, where you will pass unbelievably realistic LEGO models and encounter many amazing sea creatures.
The Legoland themed hotel opened in 2012, making it easy to turn your family day out into a mini-break. An overnight stay includes 2-day passes for the park and breakfast for each guest. There are lots of places to eat around the park; you can enjoy a snack or tuck into a three course meal. Kids will love tasting the yummy homemade ice cream and mini doughnuts at the ice cream factory, where they even have lactose-free sorbets.
